Personal data is only processed to the extent necessary to operate this website or to handle your inquiry or requested reservation — to perform a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or on the basis of our legitimate interest in the reliable operation of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The newsletter sign-up relies on a separate legal basis, consent — see the "Newsletter" section below.

This website does not use tracking, analytics or marketing cookies. The internal admin area (/admin) uses a technically necessary session cookie to authenticate logged-in staff (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); visitors to the public pages are not affected by this.

This website is hosted via Vercel Inc.; server processing may take place in the USA, safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). Reservation data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase, with servers located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany (EU). Server log data is automatically deleted according to our hosting provider's standard retention periods.

If you contact us via the form, email or phone, or make a reservation, we use your details (name, email address, phone number, any notes) solely to process your request or reservation and to send the confirmation email via our email provider Resend. Only authorised restaurant staff have access to this data. 12 months after the reservation date, your name, email address and phone number are automatically anonymised; the reservation itself (date, party size, status) is kept, anonymously, for statistical purposes. You may request full and earlier deletion of your data at any time.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address solely to send you offers and news. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking a confirmation link in a separate email (double opt-in). You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect, e.g. via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. After unsubscribing you will receive no further emails; on explicit request we will delete your email address entirely rather than keep it on record as unsubscribed.

Under applicable law you have, in particular, rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection. For questions about data protection, please use the email address given above under "Data controller".
